Comedy legend John Cleese returns to British TV in Batteries Not Included - an entertaining, informative and downright funny look at the weird and wonderful world of gadgets and gizmos.

In each episode a celebrity gives an in-depth insight into their gadget life from the comfort of their own home and they will reveal whether they are gadget addicts or technophobes. Once each celebrity reveals their personal gadget likes and dislikes, Batteries Not Included asks them to road test some of the maddest, most ridiculous gadgets it can find. Standby for shower curtains that double up as diaries, slippers with battery operated headlights, mobiles with halitosis metres and Japanese headphones that can change channels on the telly by the user rolling their eyes.

Throughout the series John Cleese uses his own special brand of gadget knowledge to take a closer look at some of the über-gadgets that are either too big and powerful to fit inside a regular home or so sophisticated they’re not available to the general public yet. We take a trip to Japan to look at the latest creations from a nation obsessed with invention.

Thrown into the mix, a select group of witty celebrities appear throughout the show giving their opinions on topics such as the perils of the ‘sat-nav’ and instruction manuals plus regular features ‘Guess the Gadget’ and ‘Fantasy Gadget’.
