This is the remarkable story of Winston Churchill’s American mother, Jennie Jerome, who married his father Lord Randolph. It tells how she wooed and won Randolph, urged him on his meteoric rise to be Chancellor of the Exchequer, and nursed him as he died. She pulled every string possible to promote her son’s career calling in favours from her many lovers, including the Prince of Wales.
